Even though Os Gemeos from Brazil didn’t know a lot about graffiti in the beginnings, they experimented a lot. This was actually their chance to cross borderlines, from which they didn’t even know that they existed at all. Thus, they were able to develop their current techniques, their working method and their style.

An interesting difference to graffiti styles to other countries is for instance the tag style which was in its beginnings very much inspired by logos and strokes of Heavy Metal Bands. Today this technique however forms its own font family. Or simply the totally ordinary usage of latex colours as fill-in method in their pieces of art, which is also traditionally used for the bombing technique in the streets of Sao Paulo.

They often depict habits, traditions and values of the Brazilian people which are sometimes so decoded that probably only a chosen few can understand their meaning.

Os Gemeos always paint together. Characters, logos, backgrounds – everything emerges in teamwork. They don’t have to talk a lot, they understand each other also without words.

Sometimes silence is more expressive than a thousands words.
